Employees are the greatest asset of any company. One way employers can show that they value their employees is by setting up a designated daycare area in their office space.

Having an employer-provided day care has both its advantages and disadvantages for employers and employees a like.

Pros:

Employees are motivated to work knowing that their children are nearby so that they can easily attend to their needs. Meanwhile, employers benefit from employees who are motivated because this means increased productivity. This also results in reduced tardiness, absenteeism, and turnover.

Cons:

For some employers, providing the right facility and maintaining an on-site child care can be costly as their office may not be child-friendly. They have to make sure that children are safe and secure, which will most likely involve expenses.
