Primary purpose is to provide a safe environment for children

Planned for children whose parents are full-time employees13 or more children ages 4 weeks to 13 years and/or emphasis on the whole child Organized to provide for age-appropriate growth and development physically, emotionally, and socially.

Advantages:

Care for basic needs of the child.

Disadvantages:

May be crowded and commercialized.
